    Fund managers would be more accountable to investors under a new policy proposed by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) today. Under this policy fund managers would no longer be able to incur costs for services additional to dealing without the customer's express agreement.     The Board of Directors have voted to change the trading hours of the markets organised and managed by Borsa Italiana. This will bring them into line with those of the principal European markets, as required by the European Market Model.

  • Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces March Volume - "Equity Trading Reaches Record Volume"

    The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that it set a new record in equity volume, with 289,987,527 shares traded in March. Volume nearly doubled when compared to the same year-ago period when 158,129,147 shares traded. This represents an 83.39% increase. Equity volume increased 18.52% compared to the previous month when 244,987,527 shares traded.

  • Pharmacia To Be Delisted From Stockholmsbörsen

    Pharmacia requested today that its shares be delisted from Stockholmsbörsen due to the company's merger with Pfizer. The final date for trading in the shares will be Friday, April 11. Stockholmsbörsen will offer trading in Pfizer shares, which will commence as soon as the exchange of depositary receipts in Pharmacia for Pfizer shares has been completed. According to the prospectus sent to Pharmacia shareholders, this will take approximately three weeks
