HKEx Announces Senior Appointments And Revised Corporate Structure

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced today (Friday) the following senior appointments and revisions to its organisation structure. The changes will further enhance HKEx's regulatory and business operations as well as improve the overall efficiency of its two exchanges and the associated clearing houses.

Bursa Malaysia (the Exchange) is updating the component stocks of the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Index (KLSI) in line with the revised list of approved securities issued by the Syariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission on 30 April 2004. Effective May 27, 2004, S&P EMDB will increase the IWF for PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (S&P/EMDB Code 536520.1 / SEDOL 6454861), an S&P/IFCI and S&P/IFCG Index constituent, from 0.0796 to 0.2183. The new IWF reflects the new holdings structure after the government of Indonesia sold its entire stake in the company. If the above IWF change had occurred on May 12, 2004, the weight of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa in the S&P/IFCI Indonesia Index would have increased to 1.21% from 0.44%.
