CME Eurodollars On GLOBEX® Volume Hits New Record Of Nearly 1.2 Million; Total Exchange Volume Exceeds 5 Million For Fifth Time In 2004

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), the largest U.S. futures exchange, announced today that its Eurodollars on GLOBEX® volume totaled 1,193,132 contracts on June 15, setting a new single-day volume record for the trading of CME’s benchmark short-term interest rate futures contract on CME’s electronic trading platform. The previous record was 1.1 million set on May 7.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange, Incorporated (CBOE) today announced that a license was granted giving Connors Investor Services, Inc. the right to use the CBOE S&P 500 BuyWrite Index (BXM) as the strategic basis for a new options investment vehicle. Connors Investor Services, Inc., is a registered investment advisor located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
