Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, June 18, 2004: Alamos Gold Inc. (TSXVN:AGI) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “AGI” at the open on Monday, June 21, 2004.

New York Stock Exchange member firms that conduct business with the public reported first-quarter 2004 after-tax profits of $3.3 billion and revenues of $39.43 billion, compared to $2.28 billion in after-tax profits on revenues of $35.07 billion in first-quarter 2003.

Number Of Daily Transactions On Futures and Options On RTS Stock Exchange Exceeds 9,000

On June 17th, 2004, the new daily activity record was broken on FORTS, the derivatives section of the RTS Stock Exchange. 9150 transactions were executed, 30% higher than the average May daily trading volume (6875 transaction) and 4% higher than the previous record of 8 775 transactions set on June 1st, 2004.
