CBOT Options On Mini-Sized Dow(SM) Jones Futures Shatter Previous Open Interest And Volume Records

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that its options on mini-sized Dow Jones futures set new open interest and volume records on October 5, with open interest eclipsing the previous all-time high by 27 percent and volume surpassing the prior record by 100 percent.

CBOE Columbus Day Holiday Trading Schedule

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that interest rate/treasury products traded at CBOE will close at 12:00 Noon Central Daylight Time (Chicago time), on Friday, October 8, in conjunction with the early close of the underlying products, and will not be open for trading on Monday, October 11, 2004, due to the Columbus Day holiday.

Turnover for September was EUR 58,841.3 million. This compares to EUR 38,831.1 million in August. Domestic turnover in September was EUR 49,218.3 million, foreign turnover EUR 6,915.8 million, Nuovo Mercato, Domestic, EUR 2,602.9 million, Nuovo Mercato, Foreign EUR 33.2 million and on the Mercarto Expandi market EUR 71.1 million.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange: Feed Wheat Futures Prices Hit Record Lows In September

Feed wheat futures prices at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange closed out the month of September at record lows. The October futures contract closed at $89.00 per metric tonne on September 30, a drop of $25.50 per metric tonne from the contract closing price on August 31. The drop equates to a decline of over 20 percent (see Chart 1).
