The Archipelago Exchange(SM) (ArcaEx(R)) Announces Listing Of Twenty iShares(R) Products

The Archipelago Exchange (ArcaEx), the nation's first totally open, all-electronic stock exchange, today announced that Barclays Global Investors (BGI), a worldwide leader in exchange traded funds (ETFs), plans to transfer the listing of 20 of its iShares(R) exchange-traded products to ArcaEx. In the second quarter of 2005, ArcaEx handled over one-third of all ETF trading - making ArcaEx the top exchange in the trading of these securities.
SEC: Settled Administrative Proceeding Against Canadian Imperial Bank Of Commerce Subsidiaries

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced a settled administrative proceeding against Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce's (CIBC) broker-dealer and financing subsidiaries for their role in facilitating deceptive market timing and late trading of mutual funds by certain customers. The Commission ordered the subsidiaries, CIBC World Markets Corp. (World Markets), a New York based broker-dealer, and Canadian Imperial Holdings Inc. (CIHI), to pay $125 million, consisting of $100 million

Barclays Global Investors announced today the transfer of 61 iShares® Exchange Traded Funds to the New York Stock Exchange from the American Stock Exchange, making the NYSE the largest market for listing iShares ETFs. The initiative underscores the NYSE’s strategy of expanding its position in the trading of ETFs, structured products and other derivative securities.
