The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that the Exchange has renewed its agreement with Noble Americas Corp., for Noble Americas to serve as market maker for the CBOT Ethanol futures contract. Under the terms of the agreement, Noble Americas will continue to provide two-sided trading in CBOT Ethanol futures.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange Changes Contract Unit For Gasoline And Kerosene

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange will change the contract unit of gasoline and kerosene contracts to 50 kl per contract from 100 kl per contract effective on September 26, 2005 (applicable from April 2006 contract onward.).

NYSE Reaches Second 3 Billion-Share Day Dollar Value Of Trading Sets New High

On Friday, Sept. 16, daily volume at the New York Stock Exchange reached 3,092,762,940 shares, making it the second 3 billion-share day in the Exchange’s history. The Exchange’s all time high and first 3 billion-share day was on July 24, 2005 with 3,122,938,428 shares traded.

MICEX Extends Trading Hours For Euro

On 19 September 2005, the amended Rules of buying and selling foreign currency in the Unified trading session of inter-bank currency exchanges come into effect. In accordance with the Rules, the time of trading in the euro is extended by 30 minutes. The trading session now begins at 10:00, Moscow time (before: at 10:30).
