Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has published a booklet to mark the 20th anniversary of Hang Seng Index (HSI) Futures, which began trading on 6 May 1986. The booklet gives an overview of the development of HSI Futures and Options, and explains their characteristics as well as how they are traded. The booklet also covers statistical data, including the trading volume and open interest, of HSI Futures and Options since their launch.

EU Emissions Trading Scheme Delivers First Verified Emissions Data For Installations

The European Commission today released the 2005 carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions data and compliance status of more than 9,400 installations covered by the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. For four Member States – Cyprus, Luxembourg, Malta and Poland – no information has been received as their emission allowance registries are not yet operational.
