CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today reported record trading volume of nearly 4.3 million contracts in its CME E-mini equity futures complex and 7.7 million on the CME Globex(R) electronic trading platform on Thursday, June 8, 2006. CBOT Mini-Sized Dow Futures Set Daily Volume Record As Total Surpasses Previous High By 21 Percent - Exchange Also Sets Volume Record In Equity Index Complex

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that its $5 mini-sized Dow Jonessm futures contract set a record on Thursday, as volume climbed to 263,844 contracts at the close of trading. The new record topped the previous record of 218,495, set on May 24, 2006, by 21 percent.

CBOE Sets New Single-Day Volume Record In Options On iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM)

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that volume in options on the iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM) established a new single-day record at CBOE on Thursday, June 8, when 760,803 contracts (120,229 calls and 640,574 puts) traded.This beat the previous single-day high of 727,521 contracts on May 17, 2006.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Assures Firms They Will Not Be Judged Retrospectively
