NYSE Hybrid Market<SUP><SMALL>SM</SUP></SMALL> Begins “Phase III” Implementation Begins Friday, Oct. 6

New York Stock Exchange will begin “Phase III” implementation of the Hybrid Market on Friday, Oct. 6. This follows the Saturday, Sept. 30 successful market-wide training exercise involving floor brokers, specialists and other market participants that involved full-scale functional testing through simulated trading in NYSE-listed stocks.

CBOT Full-Sized Gold Futures Contract Surpass 60 Percent Market Share For The First Time In A Single Trading Day - CBOT Full-Sized Silver Futures Achieves 10,000 Contracts In Open Interest

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that its Full-sized (100 oz.) Gold futures contract surpassed a market share milestone of 60 percent on October 2, capturing 64 percent of all listed Gold futures traded in North America that day. Open interest in the CBOT's Full-sized (5,000 oz.) Silver futures grew beyond 10,000 contracts and set a new record of 10,064 contracts yesterday. The previous record was 9,959 contracts set on September 29, 2006.

TSX Group CEO Encourages Newfoundland Companies To Consider The Public Markets

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces September Volume - PHLX Continues As The Third Largest U.S. Marketplace For Options

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity option volume in September increased 59.82% when 20,768,135 contracts traded compared to the same year-ago period when 13,006,001 contracts traded. Equity option volume in September increased 2.12% compared to the previous month when 20,354,679 contracts traded.
