  • Mitsubishi UFJ Trust And Banking Corporation Selects FTSE GWA Index Series

    FTSE Group (“FTSE”) has contracted the largest trust bank in Japan, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation to use the FTSE GWA index series. This is the first time FTSE has contracted a financial institution in Japan to launch a fund based on a non-market cap weighted index. The FTSE GWA index combines the wealth weighted methodology created by Global Wealth Allocation (GWA), and FTSE’s world-class indexing skills.

    Bursa Malaysia today announced shortened time to market for subdivision of shares, share consolidation and bonus issue exercises (“SPEEDS”). The implementation of SPEEDS allows securities arising from certain subdivision or consolidation and bonus issue exercises (“SPEEDS Corporate Exercises”) to be traded on the next market day after the Books Closing Date instead of the current time frame of 6 to 10 market days after the Books Closing Date.   • London Stock Exchange Monthly Market Report March 2007 - SETS Trading Hits New Records With 55 Per Cent Growth

    Trading on SETS, the London Stock Exchange’s order book, reached record levels during February 2007. The average daily number of trades on SETS increased 55 per cent on February 2006 to a record 413,506, while the average daily value traded was up 28 per cent to £7.46 billion. The total number of SETS trades during the month was 8.3 million and the total value traded was £149.1 billion.
