OneChicago, LLC today reported that 706,120 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in May. Average daily volume (ADV) in May 2007 was 32,097 contracts, a 159% increase over average daily volume for May 2006.

CFTC Approves CME Credit Derivative Product, Also Approves OCC Clearing Of Proposed CBOE Products

Today, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced it is allowing a new credit derivative product to begin trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Exchange-traded credit derivative products provide liquidity and transparency and allow parties to hedge counterparty credit risk.

CBOE Seat Traded Today At A New Record Price - Sale For $2.55 Million Tops Last Week's Record

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that a CBOE seat, or membership, traded for a new all-time high today.This morning, a seat traded for a price of $2,550,000, which surpassed the previous high of $2,500,000 for a CBOE seat, which was set last Wednesday, May 30, 2007.

Merck Replaces Altana In DAX - Deutsche Börse Reviews Index Composition - Changes Are Effective On 18 June

On Tuesday, Deutsche Börse has decided on changes in its equity indices DAX®, MDAX® and SDAX® that will take effect on 18 June. Merck will be included in DAX and will replace Altana. The company does no longer meet the criteria to remain in the index in terms of market capitalization and leaves the index on the basis of the so-called fast-exit rule.
