WCE Monthly Volume Reaches All-Time High

Total volume of trade on Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. ("WCE") during October 2007 surged past the record reached in June 2007 to set an all-time monthly volume record of 427,777 futures and options contracts. This level of trade is 30.1% higher than October 2006 and up 69.1% over last month. The previous total monthly volume record set in June 2007 was 352,231 futures and options contracts.

For First Time Ever, A CBOE Seat Sells For $3 Million - Today's New High Is Third Record Seat Sale In Nine Days

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that a CBOE seat, or membership, traded for a new all-time high today. This morning, a seat traded for the first time ever at a price of $3,000,000, surpassing the previous high price of $2,900,000 for a CBOE seat, which was set just two days ago on Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed that mutual funds and other companies seeking exemptions under the Investment Company Act of 1940 submit their applications electronically so investors can access them sooner and the Commission can consider them more quickly.

In October 2007 a new trading record on ETF segment was established. The average daily trades has reached the highest value since February 2007 equal to 7702 with an increase of 16%.
