This figure includes purchases of international investors in the public offerings, which amounted to BRL 44,047,580,435.30 (or USD 22,904,678,083.60), and the net trading value at BOVESPA, which registered an outflow of BRL 5,367,688,098.00 (or USD 3,012,377,442.00),

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it filed civil actions alleging securities fraud in five separate kickback schemes uncovered by an FBI sting operation conducted pursuant to a recent cooperation agreement between the FBI and the Commission.
AMF Amends Its Position On The Insider Lists Established By Issuers Of Financial Instruments

With effect from 1 November 2007, Order 2007-544 of 12 April 2007 on financial instrument markets narrows the scope of Article L. 621-18-4 of the Monetary and Financial Code, which requires issuers whose financial instrument are admitted to trading on a regulated market to draw up lists of insiders. Consequently, the AMF has updated its position on insider lists, published on 18 January 2006.

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. today announced that the GS ConnectTM S&P GSCITM Enhanced Commodity Total Return Strategy Index ETN (NYSE Euronext: GSC) will transfer from the NYSE to the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform. GSC is scheduled to transfer effective prior to the opening on Thursday, December 20, 2007.

NYSE Euronext today announced it has reached an agreement with Powernext in order to acquire Powernext Carbon, the company’s emission permit division. Powernext is the leading spot market in Europe in this area and will provide the basis for an organized international market in CO2 emission permits and credits to be developed in association with Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).
