IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global derivatives exchanges and over-the- counter (OTC) markets, today reported March and first quarter volume and commissions. March average daily volume (ADV) in futures exceeded one million contracts for the first time in exchange history, and OTC commissions more than doubled. In the first quarter of 2008, ICE achieved record ADV and record average daily commissions.

New ETF Provider Launched On Xetra - DEKA Subsidiary ETFlab Launches Five New Funds On Europe’s Leading ETF Platform

Central Securities Depositories Start Joint Venture To Improve Post-Trade Efficiency In Europe

Seven leading Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) – Clearstream Banking AG Frankfurt (Germany), Hellenic Exchanges S.A. (Greece), IBERCLEAR (Spain), Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (Austria), SIS SegaInterSettle AG (Switzerland), VP Securities Services (Denmark) and VPS (Norway) – signed today an agreement to establish Link Up Markets, a joint venture to improve efficiency and reduce costs of post-trade processing of cross-border securities transactions in Europe.

NCDEX – 1st Exchange In The Developing World To Launch UN Issued Carbon Credit Futures Contract

National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd. will launch futures contract for Certified Emission Reduction (CERs) on April 10th 2008. NCDEX is the first exchange in any of the developing countries of the world to launch a futures contract for carbon credit issued under United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on its Exchange Platform. The MICEX Stock Exchange (‘MICEX SE’), the Russia’s leading stock exchange, advises that, following a scheduled periodic review, it has approved the composition of the MICEX Index covering the 30 most liquid Russian stocks traded on the MICEX Stock Exchange, and the MICEX Sector indices for the forthcoming period.
