The Spanish stock exchange will tomorrow start trading five new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) issued by Lyxor Asset Management. The funds are Lyxor ETF Brazil (IBOVESPA), Lyxor ETF MSCI EMU Growth, Lyxor ETF MSCI EMU Value, Lyxor ETF World Water and Lyxor ETF DJ Stoxx 600 Banks.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed settled charges against Brooks Automation, Inc., alleging that the Chelmsford, Mass. semiconductor capital equipment company overstated its income and understated employee compensation expenses in its financial statements by $64.5 million during a 10-year period due to its failure to properly account for employee stock options.

In 2007, EU27 FDI1 (foreign direct investment) in extra-EU27 countries (outflows) rose by 53%, from 275 billion euro in 2006 to 420 bn in 2007, while FDI into the EU27 from the rest of the world (inflows) increased by 89%, from 169 bn to 319 bn.
