The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is requesting public comment on a petition submitted by the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) to amend an existing order in connection with contracts traded on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME).

CBOE Average Daily Volume Climbs 23% In March - Average Daily Volume Of 4.6 Million, Total Volume Of 92.9 Million Contracts - Trading In Options On Exchange Traded Funds Grows By 42%

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that average daily volume in March was 4,647,680 contracts traded per day, up 23% when compared to the 3,771,082 contracts per day during March 2007.Total exchange volume during March rose 12% to 92,953,594 contracts, up from March 2007's volume of 82,963,812 contracts.

The Kansas City Board of Trade annual trading volume for the hard red winter wheat futures contract is running 16.7 percent ahead of last year at this time, at 997,994 contracts. Total exchange volume of 1,068,416 contracts is ahead of last year by 14.1 percent.

Eurex Trading Volumes Of 183 Million Contracts - Average Daily Volume In Q1 At 9.1 Million Contracts (+26 Percent) - 22 Percent Rise Of Trading Volume In Q1 Compared To Q1/2007

Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, reported a total of 183 million contracts traded in March 2008. Compared year-on-year the volume stood at 199 million contracts. The daily average volume was 9.6 million in March; in the first quarter 2008 daily average volume was 9.1 million contracts. Deutsche Börse: Xetra Trades Up By 34 Percent In March - Total Volume Of €210 Billion Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany

In March the number of daily average trades executed on Xetra was up by 34.5 percent reaching roughly 0.9 million transactions – compared to March 2007 with 0.6 million and three additional trading days. Orderbook turnover on Xetra decreased by 22 percent year-on-year to €185 billion (March 2007: €239 billion).
