Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes To The S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient Index: Cooper Industrials Ltd. (USA, SEDOL: 2949435, GICS Code: 20104010) will be deleted from the S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient Index after the close of trading on September 8, 2009. Cooper Industrials is in the process of redomesticating to Ireland, rendering it ineligible for continued inclusion in the S&P 500 and S&P U.S. Carbon Efficient Indices.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC's) Office of General Counsel today announced that it issued a no-action letter on August 26, 2009, permitting the offer and sale in the United States of full-sized and mini-sized futures contracts based on the Ibovespa Index (Ibovespa) listed on BM&F Bovespa, the Brazilian futures and securities exchange. Central Japan Commodity Exchange Ferrous Scrap Futures Contract To Be Delisted

The current trial period for the Ferrous Scrap futures contract expires on October 10, 2009 and C-COM has made a decision for not applying for another extension due to the current and past poor trading environment of the Japanese futures market, which led the Exchange to believe that there was little hope for a recovery in the future, despite vigorous efforts in promoting the market made by the Exchange.

Boston Options Exchange Eliminates Make Or Take Pricing

The Boston Options Exchange ("BOX") will eliminate Make or Take pricing on all Penny Pilot Classes effective September 1, pending regulatory approval. BOX had recently eliminated Make or Take fees for SPY, QQQQ and IWM on July 2. With this change, trade executions for public customers will not be subject to a trading fee on any of the current 57 classes which are part of the Penny Pilot Program, while all other account types will be subject to a fee of 20 cents per contract.
