(NSX®) announced that assets in U.S. listed Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) and Exchange-Traded Notes (ETN) totaled approximately $798 billion at May 2010 month-end, an increase of almost 34% over May 2009 month-end when assets totaled $594.3 billion. At the end of May 2010, the number of listed products totaled 995, compared to 829 listed products at the end of May 2009.

    BM&FBOVESPA hit a new historic high today with a total of 2,247 ETF trades. In just one day the BOVA11 registered 2,134 trades (199,650 shares at the average price of BRL67.62), reaching BRL13.5 million in total financial volume. All of the other ETFs together registered a total of 113 trades. The previous record was set on February 22 of this year when a total of 1,714 ETF trades were registered, at that time 1,608 were from the BOVA11 and 97 were from all other ETFs.
