On June 22-23, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held its annual consultations on managing public debt “Legacy of the Crisis: Long Term Implications for Managing Sovereign Risk, Government Balance Sheets, and Debt Management”. The event held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, was co-hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea.
U.S.A. Agencies Extend Comment Period On Swap Margin And Capital Proposed Rulemaking

Five federal agencies have approved and will submit a Federal Register notice that extends the comment period on a proposed rule to establish margin and capital requirements for swap dealers, major swap participants, security-based swap dealers, and major security-based swap participants as required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The comment period was extended to July 11, 2011, to allow interested persons more time to analyze the issues and prepare their comments. Originally, comments were due by June 24, 2011.
First Scheduled Auctioning Of Emission Allowances - EUAs In Athens Exchange

The first scheduled auction of European Union Emission Allowances (EUAs) by the Greek Government's New Entrants' Reserve will take place on Wednesday, the 29th of June 2011. A quantity of 1.100.000 EUAs will be auctioned through the OASIS trading platform of Athens Exchange (ATHEX).

UK Joins Fellow Members Of International Energy Agency In Limited Oil Stock Release

The UK today joined its partners in the International Energy Agency (IEA) in releasing oil stocks to the market. A total of 60 million barrels of oil will be made available for purchase over the next 30 days, with the UK contributing some 3 million barrels.
