SEC Provides Additional Guidance, Interim Relief And Exemptions For Security-Based Swaps Under Dodd-Frank Act

The Securities and Exchange Commission today provided additional guidance to clarify which U.S. securities laws will apply to security-based swaps starting July 16 -- the effective date of Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

June Trading Activity At CBOE Futures Exchange Reaches New All-Time High - Numerous Records Set As Total Volume Exceeds One Million Contracts

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that a series of volume records were achieved during June as trading activity reached a new all-time high at the exchange. The numerous records set during the month included total volume, monthly average daily volume (ADV), single-day volume and open interest — both exchange-wide and for futures on the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX). In addition, the second quarter of 2011 was the most-active ever at CFE.

The Options Industry Council Announces June Volume Grew 21 Percent

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 372,928,893 total options contracts changed hands in June, representing a 20.59 percent increase over June 2010 when 309,262,866 contracts were traded.

BATS Global Markets Reports Record June For Options, 11% U.S. Equities Market Share - U.S. Options Market Share Rises To 4.3% - Europe Equities Market Earns 5.6% Overall

BATS Global Markets (BATS), a global operator of stock and options markets, today reported record BATS Options matched market share of 4.3% for the month of June and U.S. Equities matched market share of 11.0%, equal to the same month last year.

Key Figures SIX Swiss Exchange And Scoach Switzerland: June 2011

The total number of trades on SIX Swiss Exchange was up 2.3% year-on-year in the first half of 2011. The segments with the strongest growth were ETFs (+30.8%) and Bonds CHF (+6.9%). The Equities including Funds, ETSFs and ETPs segment also saw an increase in trading activity, with the total number of trades rising by 2.2% to 17,125,875.

OCC Cleared Volume Increases 21% In June

OCC announced today that total cleared volume in June reached 376,877,261 contracts, a 21 percent increase from the June 2010 volume of 311,231,916 contracts. First half total cleared volume was 2,238,392,970 contracts, 11 percent higher than the first half last year. OCC’s securities lending clearing also continued its growth in June with a 13 percent increase in transactions processed from the previous June.

Boerse Stuttgart's Bondm Segment For Medium-Sized Enterprises - Windreich Issues Corporate Bond In Bondm - Private Investors Can Subscribe To The New Issue From 4 July.

Windreich AG is to issue a corporate bond in Boerse Stuttgart's Bondm trading segment. Investors will have the opportunity to subscribe to the company's bond from 4 July 2011. The new issue from Windreich AG with a total volume of up to EUR 75 million matures in 2016 and has a coupon of 6.5 percent. Private investors can purchase the bond (ISIN DE000A1H3V38), which is denominated in units of EUR 1,000, directly through their house bank or by sending a buy order to Boerse Stuttgart.

Trading Statistics June 2011 - NASDAQ OMX Nordic Increases Market Share To 74 %

NASDAQ OMX today publishes monthly trade statistics for the Nordic and Baltic markets. Below follows a summary of the highlights for June 2011:
- NASDAQ OMX Nordic’s share of order-book trading in our listed stocks increased to 73.9 % compared to 72.9 % in May 2011. Foreign marketplaces accounted for 23 % of the trading in NASDAQ OMX Nordic shares1.
- The share trading on NASDAQ OMX Nordic increased by 9.7 % to a daily average of 2.7 bn EUR, compared to 2.4 bn EUR in June 2010. Compared to May 2011 the daily average decreased by 11.7 %.
- Derivatives trading decreased by 0.3 % to a daily average of 533,203 contracts, compared with 534,658 contracts in June 2010.
- Nokia was the most traded stock on NASDAQ OMX Nordic during the past month, followed by Volvo B.
- SEB was the most active member on NASDAQ OMX Nordic during the past month, followed by Credit Suisse.
