Highlights physical markets October 2011:
POWER:
- Nord Pool Spot market share of Nordic consumption was 71.7 per cent in October.
- The total Nordic preliminary consumption for October was 31.3 TWh compared to 27.6 TWh in September.
- Volumes traded were 24.4 TWh in October compared to 22 TWh in September 2011.
- The average system price for October was 27.96 EUR/MWh compared to 28.94 EUR/MWh in September 2011.
- The value of turnover in the physical market for October was EUR 0.81 billion.

ICE Futures Europe To Launch ICE Brent NX Crude Futures And Options On 5 December 2011

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, today announced that ICE Futures Europe will introduce ICE Brent NX (New Expiry) Crude Futures and Options contracts. The contracts will be available for trading with a first trade date of 5 December 2011.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Publicly Criticises Fidelity Worldwide Investment For Breaches Of Takeovers Code

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has publicly criticised FIL Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited (trading under the brand name Fidelity Worldwide Investment in Hong Kong) for breaches of the Code on Takeovers and Mergers (Takeovers Code) as a result of its failure to disclose its dealings in Little Sheep Group Limited (Little Sheep) shares.

Boerse Stuttgart Extends Trading Times For ETPs And Investment Funds - From 7 November Retail Investors Can Start Trading As Early As 8.00 Hours (CET)

Boerse Stuttgart is pressing ahead with the extension of trading times. From 7 November trading for all investment funds and exchange-traded products (ETPs) - comprising exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) - will start at 8.00 hours (CET). Until now trading from 8.00 hours (CET) has been possible for equities, participation certificates and debt instruments.

London Stock Exchange: RBS Launches Sixth Retail Bond On ORB - Inflation-Linked Corporate Bond With 7 Year Maturity And 2% RPI

The London Stock Exchange today welcomes a new RBS inflation linked bond onto the Order Book for Retail Bonds (ORB). This is the sixth bond to be issued by RBS on to the platform since launch.
