  • ASX Group Monthly Activity Report – November 2010

    The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, fell 1.2% in November. A number of other global markets also retreated during the month including: the UK down 2.6%, Hong Kong down 0.4%, and the US down 0.2%. Moving against this trend was the Japanese market which rose 8.0% and Singapore which rose 0.1%.

Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) President Liu Xingqiang participated in the Forum's "Exchange Roundtable Discussion" and gave a speech, in which he introduced the DCE's development achievements and experiences in recent years.

  • Qatar Exchange And Qatar Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Sign Memorandum Of Understanding

    Qatar Exchange (QE) and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) held a joint signing ceremony to formalise the launch of a series of initiatives envisaged by their memorandum of understanding (MOU). The ceremony took place at QCCI’s offices and was attended by representatives of both parties. HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman signed the undertaking on behalf of QCCI whilst Andre Went, CEO signed on behalf of QE.

    Yesterday the Commission held the sixth in a series of open meetings to address rules implementing the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.  I commend the CFTC’s staff for working diligently on the myriad rules mandated by the Act, even now in the face of a pay freeze.  The staff of the CFTC truly exemplifies the meaning of “service” in the performance of their roles as dedicated public servants.
