The creation of the clearing house KDPW_CCP is the highlight of the past year at the National Depository. As a result, the Polish market complies with global standards of clearing houses and central securities depositories. The challenge of 2012 is to implement interbank OTC derivatives clearing.

The Egyptian Exchange: Adjusting The List Of Companies Eligible For Specialized Activities

- FEAS: Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, and the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) announced the launch of the first blue-chip index derived from Euro-Asian stock exchanges, the Dow Jones FEAS Titans 50 Equal Weighted Index.
- BULGARIA SE: On 28th November the Bulgarian company Sopharma will debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It is the second issuer form Bulgaria – after Intercapital Property Development (NewConnect) - dual-listed in Warsaw.
- ISTAN BUL SE: Deutsche Börse and Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) are working together to cooperate in several business areas. Both exchanges support the mutual understanding of developments in each other’s securities markets, carry out joint research projects or seminars on topics of mutual interest and assist each other in marketing activities in Germany and Turkey.

Trading On The MICEX Derivatives Market At Weekends And On Public Holidays

In accordance with the resolution of the Executive Board of MICEX-RTS as of December 23, 2011 (Minutes No.152) December 30, 2011 will be a non-trading day on the MICEX Derivatives Market, whereas January 3 through January 6, 2012 and January 9, 2012 will be normal trading days on the MICEX Derivatives Market.

Re-Appointments To Monetary Authority Of Singapore Board Of Directors

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced that Mr Lim Chee Onn, Senior International Advisor to Singbridge Private Limited, Mr Peter Ong, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance, and Mr Lucien Wong Yuen Kuai, Managing Partner of Allen & Gledhill, have been re-appointed to its Board of Directors for a further period of two years. Their re-appointments will take effect on 1 January 2012.

On May 4, 2011, Alpha Beta Netherlands Holding N.V. (the “bidder”) published the offer document (the “offer document”) regarding its voluntary public takeover offer (“exchange offer”) to the shareholders of Deutsche Börse Aktiengesellschaft (“Deutsche Börse”) to acquire their shares in Deutsche Börse (ISIN DE0005810055) (“Deutsche Börse Shares”) against a consideration of one share in the bidder (ISIN NL0009766997) for one Deutsche Börse Share. The acceptance period for the exchange offer expired on midnight, at the end of July 13, 2011 (Central European Daylight Savings Time), the additional acceptance period for the exchange offer expired on midnight, at the end of August 1, 2011 (Central European Daylight Savings Time). The period pursuant to Section 39c of the German Securities Acquisition and Takeover Act (Wertpapiererwerbs- und Übernahmegesetz) expired midnight at the end of November 4, 2011 (Central European Time).
