Euroclear Board Elects Marc Antoine Autheman As New Chairman From 1 January 2013

Euroclear announced today that Marc Antoine Authemanwill succeed Sir Nigel Wicks upon his retirement as Chairman of both the Euroclear plc and Euroclear SA/NV Boards on 1 January 2013. Sir Nigel Wicks became Chairman of the Boards in August 2006 after serving as Deputy Chairman since 2002. Both Chairman positions are non-executive. Mr Autheman will become Deputy Chairman of both Euroclear Boards immediately, a position that he shares with Jean-Jacques Verdickt.
NYSE Euronext To Acquire Corpedia Corporation - Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance Leader Will Accelerate The Growth Of NYSE's Services Suite For Its Issuer Community

NYSE Euronext (NYX) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Corpedia Corporation (Corpedia), a leading global provider of ethics and compliance e-learning and consultative services. With its corporate governance, risk and compliance (GRC) assets, Corpedia will further expand the New York Stock Exchange's (NYSE) extensive range of global services available to its issuer community. The transaction is expected to close in June 2012. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Oslo Børs To Discourage Excessive Order Activity

With effect from 1 September, Oslo Børs will introduce a fee that will affect unnecessarily high order activity in the stock market. The purpose of the fee is to discourage orders that do not contribute to the effective and sound conduct of stock market trading. Order activity at unnecessarily high levels has the effect of reducing the transparency of the order picture and so reducing confidence in the market.
