ASX: Modernising The Timetable For Rights Issues

ASX is consulting on proposals to reduce the standard timetable for rights issues. Rights issues are a capital raising mechanism whereby subscription offers are made to all existing shareholders for additional securities in a company in proportion to the shareholders’ existing holding.

S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Composite Index

SXC Health Solutions Corp. (TSX:SXC) has completed the acquisition of Catalyst Health Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:CHSI) for a combination of cash and shares. As part of the transaction, the relative weight of SXC Health Solutions will increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Completion and Equity Completion, the S&P/TSX Equity and Capped Equity and the S&P/TSX Capped Health Care Indices to reflect the issuance of new shares. There will be no weight change effective in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight Index. These changes will be effective after close on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

IMF: Concluding Statement Of The 2012 Article IV Mission To The United States Of America

Describes the preliminary findings of IMF staff at the conclusion of certain missions (official staff visits, in most cases to member countries). Missions are undertaken as part of regular (usually annual) consultations under Article IV of the IMF's Articles of Agreement, in the context of a request to use IMF resources (borrow from the IMF), as part of discussions of staff monitored programs, and as part of other staff reviews of economic developments.
