PM Of Denmark: Recovery In Europe Could Begin Next Year

SIX Swiss Exchange Welcomes New Exchange Traded Fund Issuer ETF Securities
SIX Swiss Exchange is delighted to welcome ETF Securities as a new issuer of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The London-based provider was formed in 2003 and became internationally known that same year after creating the world’s first listed exchange traded product (ETP) on physical gold. ETF Securities launched its first ETFs in 2008 and is among the European leaders in ETPs, which are collateralized bearer debt securities that track an underlying.

ASIC Consults On Amendments To Clearing And Settlement Facilities Guidance

$182 Billion Commitment To AIG During Financial Crisis Now Fully Recovered After Pricing Of $18.0 Billion Treasury Common Stock Sale - Sale Locks In At Least $12.4 Billion Positive Return On Overall $182 Billion Treasury And Federal Reserve Commitment To AIG - Future Sales Of Treasury's Remaining AIG Common Stock Holdings Will Provide An Additional Return To Taxpayers
Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that it has agreed to sell 553,846,153 shares of its American International Group, Inc. (AIG) common stock at $32.50 per share in an underwritten public offering. The aggregate proceeds to Treasury from the common stock offering are expected to be approximately $18.0 billion. As part of Treasury’s offering today, AIG agreed to purchase 153,846,153 shares at the public offering price of $32.50 per share – representing approximately $5.0 billion of Treasury’s expected proceeds from the sale. Treasury has granted the underwriters a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 83,076,922 shares of AIG common stock.

Institutional Investors Accounted For Largest Share Of ETF Trading On BM&FBOVESPA In August
Institutional investors accounted for 35.8% of the total volume of exchange-traded funds traded on BM&FBOVESPA in August. Financial investors ranked second with 24.5%, followed by foreign investors with 23.9%, individual investors with 12.8% and private- or public-sector corporations with 3.1%.

Today, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) staff is responding to questions from market participants and other interested parties on the timing of when entities will be required to register as swap dealers. The CFTC is issuing a Frequently Asked Questions document to help market participants better understand the rules, what is required and by when.

BM&FBOVESPA Begins Bidding Process For Market Makers For Options On The Stock Of BM&FBOVESPA And Of Usiminas - Institutions That Wish To Participate Have To October 05, 2012 To Send In Proposals
BM&FBOVESPA announces the start of the process to select up to three market makers for options on the stock of BM&FBOVESPA S.A (BVMF3) and of Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. – Usiminas (USIM5). The institutions that wish to participate, including foreign residents, have until October 05, 2012 to deliver proposals, with the names of those pre-selected to be made public on October 15, 2012 and of the winners on November 16, 2012.
