DFM Enrols “Pioneers Securities” And “Al Dhafra Financial Broker” To Margin Trading Members

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) today announced that “Pioneers Securities” and “Al Dhafra Financial Broker” have been accredited to provide Margin Trading, lifting the total number of DFM brokerage firms providing this service to 18 companies.

BATS 1000 Index Gains 0.7% This Week

BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and  Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index (Ticker: BATSK) rose 136.97 points this week to close at 21,063.22 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today. Industrials and Manufacturing gained 1.5% leading nine of the ten sectors that comprise the Index higher for the week. Technology and Communications fell 0.5% and was the only sector to decline.

In March the equities market’s (BOVESPA segment) financial volume totaled BRL 125.23 billion against BRL 131.54 billion in February. The daily average was BRL 6.59 billion against BRL 6.57 billion in the previous month. The total number of trades in March was 18,503,854 against 17,943,360 in February. Daily average number of trades was 973,887 against 897,168 in February.
