BME: IGBM Index New Composition For The First Half 2013 - The index Will Comprise 112 Stocks, After Two Exclusions And One Inclusion
The Indice General de la Bolsa de Madrid (IGBM) Management Committee has decided, in accordance with the technical provisions for the composition, calculation and sectoral division of the IGBM index family, to approve the composition of the IGBM and Indice Total indices for the first half of 2013.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts
Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 2 January 2013, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

Could you look back at and comment on the outgoing government’s policies, particularly in the field of financial administration, for which you are responsible?
What has been the greatest achievement, and what tasks have you failed to accomplish in the past three years and three months?
- A.

I have the impression that various incidents have occurred in the past three years and three months. The Lehman Shock was a once-in-a-century incident and the Great East Japan Earthquake was a once-in-a-millennium disaster. The chances of two such incidents occurring simultaneously is once in 100,000 years. Such were the circumstances in which our government has navigated.

One of the largest European banks, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, has become a clearing member of EurexOTC Clear for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS). By joining this new CCP for OTC derivatives, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking and its clients will thus be able to prepare for the start of the clearing obligation in Europe.

Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. (“OSE”) is pleased to announce that it has obtained an authorization for providing automated trading services through its securities trading platform and derivatives trading platform (J-GATE) from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) in accordance with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance, with effect from December 19, 2012.
