Dalian Commodity Exchange: After-Hours Trading Runs Smoothly, Functions Well In 1st Year

July marks the first anniversary of the after-hours trading at Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE). In the past year, the after-hours trading session has seen the futures products trade actively, with investors structure gradually improved, the price gaps of relevant products significantly narrowed, and the role in transferring overnight risks brought into full play. The after-hours trading has become an important part of the operation of the futures market in Dalian. -

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today assessed a $35 million penalty against Citibank, N.A., Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and its affiliate, Department Stores National Bank, Sioux Falls, South Dakota (collectively, the bank), and ordered the bank to identify and make restitution to harmed customers.

EBA Publishes Report On Macroprudential Policy Measures

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today a report on macroprudential policy measures across the EU. The objective of this report is to take stock of the range of practices applied by EU Member States in relation to the provisions for macroprudential policies set out in the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive (CRR/CRD IV), focusing on the interaction of macroprudential and microprudential objectives and tools. The report will contribute to the ongoing discussions regarding the implementation of macroprudential measures and will provide additional input for the regulatory work carried out by the European Commission, the EBA and the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) regarding macroprudential tools.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Fund Management Business Reached Record High In 2014

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today released its annual Fund Management Activities Survey (FMAS) which shows that the combined fund management business (Note 1) in Hong Kong sustained another year-on-year increase to reach a record high of $17,682 billion (Note 2), up 10.5%, as of the end of 2014.
