Moscow Exchange Monthly Market Report: December 2014
The trading volume of stocks totalled RUB 1.2 trln in December. The average daily trading volume was RUB 54.5 bln, up 34% MoM. The T+2 sector made up 97.6% of the total secondary market trading volume and the T0 sector accounted for 2.4%. The OTC trading volume was RUB 0.3 trln, or 21% of the combined value of the secondary market and OTC trades.

The Mexican Stock Exchange ("BMV") Commemorates Its Entry Into The Latin American Integrated Market (Mercado Integrado Latinoamericano, MILA)
- The Mexican Stock Exchange ("BMV") commemorated its entry into the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA).
- Upper management directors of the stock markets and deposit institutes, as well as the members of upper management of the regulators of the four countries, attended the ceremony.
- The purpose of MILA is to accomplish a better and higher exposition of the markets that integrate it, as well as a higher offer of products and opportunities for local and foreign investors.

Federal Court In New York Imposes A $2.16 Million Penalty And Permanent Trading Bans Against Michael A. Kardonick, Gary R. Shapoff, And Atwood & James For Forex Options Fraud And Misappropriation - Kardonick And Shapoff Are Serving Time In Prison After Pleading Guilty To Related Federal Criminal Charges
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that a federal court in Rochester, New York issued a consent Order against Atwood & James, Ltd. and Atwood & James, SA (collectively, Atwood), which operated out of New York and Brazil, and Michael A. Kardonick, who maintained multiple residences in Brooklyn; New York; Pembrook Pines, Florida; and Rio de Janeiro, and Gary R. Shapoff of Pittsford, New York. Kardonick and Shapoff are currently incarcerated in Federal custody. The court’s Order stems from a CFTC civil Complaint that charged the Defendants with fraudulently soliciting retail clients to trade foreign currency (forex) options and charged Atwood and Kardonick with misappropriating client funds (see CFTC Press Release and Complaint 5605-09, January 27, 2009). None of the Defendants has ever been registered with the CFTC, as required.

FXCM Revises FX And Gold Margin Requirements
FXCM Inc. (NYSE:FXCM), a leading online provider of foreign exchange, or FX, trading and related services, today announced that starting Wednesday, January 21, 2015 the firm will increase margin requirements globally on forex instruments, as well as gold in its overseas jurisdictions. The new margin requirements for its overseas jurisdictions will be consistent with the firm's more conservative margin requirements currently in place for clients of Forex Capital Markets, LLC, its U.S. entity. These margin requirements may be adjusted at a later date and clients are encouraged to continue to read all firm communications.
