FSB Proposes Creation Of Disclosure Task Force On Climate-Related Risks

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) today published a proposal to the G20 for the creation of an industry-led disclosure task force on climate-related risks. The proposal is in response to a request by the G20 in April to review how the financial sector can take account of climate-related issues.

Illuminate Financial Management LLP, the venture capital firm established by industry veteran Mark Beeston, today announced that it had closed the first round of capital raising for its new IFM Fintech Opportunities Fund. The investment round has been co-led by financial information services provider Markit and Deutsche Börse Group to further invest in the most promising early stage fintech companies.

The Listing Nominating Committee is now seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Listing Committee and the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Listing Committee[1]. Appointments will be for a term of approximately twelve months commencing in July 2016. Similar to last year, the Listing Nominating Committee will interview short-listed candidates before appointments are made.

Platts, a leading global provider of energy and commodities information, today launched the first independent daily price assessment for Australian wheat exports. The new reference reflects the physical spot value of seaborne Australian Premium White (APW) wheat exported free on board (FOB) from Western Australia. It expands Platts' existing suite of price references for grains, which includes Black Sea and European wheat and corn assessments.
