Bermuda Stock Exchange Will Be Closed For The Festive Holidays

The Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”) advises that the BSX will close the Local Market at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 24 December, 2015, before closing for the Public Holidays on:

1. Christmas Day, Friday, 25 December, and Monday, 28 December and will re-open on Tuesday, 29 December, 2015; &
2. New Years Day, Friday, 01 January, 2016, and will re-open on Monday, 04 January, 2016.

US Justice Department Announces Four Banks Reach Resolutions Under Swiss Bank Program

The Department of Justice announced today that Bank J. Safra Sarasin AG (Safra Sarasin), Coutts & Co Ltd (Coutts), Gonet & Cie (Gonet) and Banque Cantonal du Valais (BC Valais) reached resolutions under the department’s Swiss Bank Program.  These banks collectively will pay penalties of more than $178 million.
