The United States has long been the world’s leading destination for foreign direct investment.  From time to time, surges of investment from new sources, though much smaller in volume than investment from the traditional sources, spark discussion about the relative benefit and risks related to such investment.  It is useful, at the outset, to consider why these discussions have always led to the same conclusion: that it is in the national interest of the United States to maintain an open investment policy.

OneChicago Announces Trading Volume For March 2016 - First Quarter Volume Up 37% Compared To 2015

OneChicago, LLC (OCX), a securities finance exchange, today announced its March 2016 volume of 1,437,201, an increase of 65% year-over-year. OneChicago is a CFTC and SEC regulated exchange offering Single Stock Futures (SSF), a Delta One product, on approximately 1,800 equities, including ADRs and ETFs.

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) today announced the outcome of an annual process to determine the composition of five regional Determinations Committees (DCs). The DCs are responsible for determining whether a credit event has occurred in the credit derivatives market by comparing publicly available information to the legal conditions set out in the ISDA Credit Derivatives Definitions.
