Buy-Side Firms Prioritize Liquidity And Relationships As Top Concerns In Broker Selection Process, According To TABB Group Study - 12th Annual Institutional Equity Trading Study Reviews The Shifting Dynamic Between Buy-And Sell-Side Firms In The U.S. Equities Market

The regulatory challenges and cost pressures facing buy-side firms are putting further demands on the sell-side to prove their relationship value. According to conversations with 100 U.S. head traders for the final installment of TABB Group’s 12th annual benchmark study, “Broker Relationships in an Era of Full Disclosure: U.S. Institutional Equity Trading 2016,” on why certain brokers were winning their order flow, 65% of the buy-side mentioned liquidity and 48% mentioned the broker relationship, while just 34% said non-execution services. Compared to 2015 overall, more buy-side firms mentioned liquidity and the relationship and less firms placed importance on non-execution services.

Uniper SE (ISIN: DE000UNSE018) has been listed in the Prime Standard at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 12 September 2016. A total of about 366 million shares were placed in the IPO. The total issue volume was approximately €3.7 million. The initial listing price was €10.015.

Russia's National Settlement Depository Opens Account With Georgian CSD

On 9 September 2016, National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, and the Georgian Central Securities Depository (GCSD) signed an agreement to open an account of NSD with GCSD. The signing ceremony was held as part of the Annual General Meeting of members of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD).

- SET Index rose continuously to 1,548.44 points, up 20.2 pct from end-2015, outperforming peers in Asia.
- Average daily securities trading value at THB 62.26 bln, rising 63.52 pct y-o-y.
- Market cap increased to THB 15.3 trillion, a 21.69 pct rise from end-2015.
- Foreign investors were net buyers for fourth month in a row, with a net THB 34.35 bln worth in August.
- Average derivatives trading rose to 324,606 contracts in August.
