New Thomson Reuters Toronto Technology Centre To Create 1,500 Jobs In Canada - CEO And CFO To Relocate To Canadian Headquarters In Toronto

Thomson Reuters today announced the expansion of its Canadian operations with the creation of a new technology centre in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The Toronto Technology Centre is expected to create 400 high-quality technology jobs in Canada over the next two years, with plans to grow to approximately 1,500 jobs over time.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Seeks Compensation And Disqualification Orders Against Former And Current Directors Of Freeman FinTech Corporation Limited

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has commenced legal proceedings in the Court of First Instance to seek disqualification orders against 10 former and current directors of Freeman FinTech Corporation Limited (Freeman), including managing director, Mr Quincy Hui Kwong Hei, and former non-executive director, Mr Andrew Liu, for breaching their director duties in Freeman’s acquisition and disposal of a stake in Liu’s Holdings Limited (Liu’s Holdings).
EEX: New Daily Records In Italian And Spanish Power Futures

Yesterday, EEX achieved their highest trading volumes in Power Futures for Italy and Spain since the launch of these products. In Italian Power Futures, a volume of 6,864,868 MWh was traded and registered for clearing (previous record: 6,183,005 TWh on 26 April 2016). The total volume in Spanish Power Futures amounted to 1,408,415 MWh (previous record: 1,400,614 MWh on 3 May 2016).
innogy SE IPO On Frankfurt Stock Exchange - Largest IPO In 2016

innogy SE (ISIN: DE000A2AADD2) was listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange today. The listing involved admission to trading of around 555.6 million shares in total. The total issue volume was approximately €5.0 billion, making it the largest IPO this year.

Clearstream: Access China-Domiciled Funds Via Vestima - Mainland China-Domiciled Funds Now Eligible In Vestima Under The Mutual Recognition Of Funds (MRF) Programme

International investors based in Hong Kong can now use their existing setup with Clearstream’s global Vestima fund processing platform to directly invest in MRF-eligible, China-domiciled funds. The Mainland China - Hong Kong Mutual Recognition of Funds (MRF) programme allows Hong Kong and Chinese asset managers to distribute recognised funds in both jurisdictions.
SGX Named “Derivatives Exchange Of The Year” By Asia Risk For Third Year

Singapore Exchange (SGX) has been awarded “Derivatives Exchange of the Year” by Asia Risk magazine, securing the prestigious title for a third straight year. This adds to the exchange retaining two accolades in September – “Asian Exchange of the Year” by Futures & Options World (FOW) and “Asia-Pacific Derivatives Exchange of the Year” by GlobalCapital.

The Board of Directors of SIX has elected Daniel Schmucki as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at SIX and therefore as member of the Group Executive Board. Daniel Schmucki has long-standing and broad experience as a CFO in a complex and challenging environment. He will take up his role on 1 April 2017 at the latest.
