Japan Exchange Regulation: Introduction Of Artificial Intelligence To Market Surveillance Operations

Japan Exchange Regulation ("JPX-R") and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. ("TSE") decided to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to market surveillance operations to detect such misconduct as market manipulation. Deployment of AI to market surveillance operations will commence today.

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) today published a letter from FSB Chair Mark Carney to G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors ahead of their meetings in Buenos Aires on 19-20 March. The letter notes that the current backdrop of strong and balanced global growth is underpinned by a resilient global financial system that is the product of determined efforts by the G20 and FSB over the past decade.

From Now, It Will Be Cheaper For Companies To Make Issuances On TASE

​On March 13, 2018 a tax bill passed its final hearings in the Knesset, whereby issuance expenses are to be recognized and deductible for tax purposes. The bill proposes that every company or partnership that issues equity and is listed on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) will be able to deduct the issuance expenses of shares or participation units that are listed on TASE. This measure is expected to provide more Israeli companies with an incentive to go public, giving the Israeli public the opportunity to be part of the success of the Israeli companies.
