It’s proxy season, and shareholders will soon cast votes on executive pay at America’s public companies. To vote intelligently, investors need transparency on how pay is tied to performance. Historically, corporate performance has been measured using generally accepted accounting principles—the standard for all statements filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. But pay practices are changing: Executives today are often paid to hit “adjusted,” non-GAAP targets. These adjustments can be significant, and their effects on executive pay are poorly understood by shareholders—raising the risk that non-GAAP numbers will be used to justify outsize compensation for disappointing results.

Nadex Amends Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and section §40.6(a) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) submitted to the Commission on June 13, 2019 amendments to its Holiday Product Schedule Guidelines. Pursuant to the 10-day filing period under Regulation 40.6(a)(3), this filing will become effective July 1, 2019.

CFTC Relaunches “CFTC Talks” As A Videocast

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is relaunching its “CFTC Talks” podcast as a videocast. This new series will focus on providing market insights, information, and analysis, leveraging the agency’s extensive data, while also featuring discussions and opinions from derivatives market experts and participants. In addition, these videocasts will focus on analyzing rapid changes to market structure and conditions affecting the broad spectrum of U.S. derivatives markets, including both swaps and futures. New episodes of the videocast will be released monthly.

North American Corporate And Municipal CUSIP Request Volume Climbs In May - Fifth Straight Month Of Muni CUSIP Volume Growth

CUSIP Global Services (CGS) today announced the release of its CUSIP Issuance Trends Report for May 2019. The report, which tracks the issuance of new security identifiers as an early indicator of debt and capital markets activity over the next quarter, found a noteworthy increase in requests for new North American corporate and municipal debt identifiers in May.

ETFGI Reports Assets Invested In The Global ETF And ETP Industry Decreased To 5.32 Trillion US Dollars At The End Of May 2019

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed Globally saw net outflows of US$4.05 billion in May, bringing year-to-date net inflows to US$141.04 billion. Assets invested in the Global ETF/ETP industry have decreased by 4.6%, from US$5.57 trillion at the end of April, to US$5.32 trillion, according to ETFGI's May 2019 Global ETF and ETP industry landscape insights report, an annual paid-for research subscription service.
