Japan's Financial Services Agency: Financial Industry-Wide Cybersecurity Exercise (Delta Wall IV)

Ensuring cybersecurity across the financial sector has become a crucial issue for the stability of the overall financial system due to cyberattacks in the financial sector becoming increasingly sophisticated and complicated. In the run-up to the "Games of the XXXII Olympiad and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games," to prepare for the occurrence of a large-scale cyber incident, the FSA has conducted the fourth industry-wide cybersecurity exercise (“Delta Wall* IV”) over the period from October 3 to 11, 2019.
* Delta Wall means a key element in cybersecurity: the triad (Delta) of “self-help,” “mutual assistance,” and “public assistance.”

CME Group Response To Allegations At LaSalle Street Protest

CME Group is appalled by the allegations that an individual at the Board of Trade building spit on Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) members who were protesting on LaSalle Street yesterday. While our company no longer owns the 141 W. Jackson Boulevard facility and is headquartered on Wacker Drive, we are aware the landmark building still bears the name of one of our exchanges. As such, we want to assure all CTU members and the Chicago community that we do not in any way condone this behavior. We have spoken to the new building owners and understand that precautions are being taken to prevent this type of activity from occurring again.

Finansinspektionen: Decision Regarding The Countercyclical Buffer Rate

Finansinspektionen (FI) decided on 24 October not to change the countercyclical buffer rate. The buffer rate of 2.5 per cent, which has applied since 19 September 2019, shall thus continue to apply. The countercyclical buffer guide is set at 0.16 per cent.
