Shanghai Stock Exchange: 1st Seminar On Capital Markets Of The BRI Participating Countries Held

The 1st Seminar on Capital Markets of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Participating Countries organized by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) was held in Shenzhen recently. This seminar represents a specific measure of intensifying the exchange and cooperation among the capital markets of countries along the BRI routes and a positive attempt to lay a solid foundation for furthering follow-up multilateral cooperation. More than 20 persons attended and shared their experience in market regulation and ideas on market development, including representatives of securities and futures regulatory institutions from Mongolia, Russia, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Bangladesh and key business staffs of relevant CSRC departments and units. Also present were officials of the CSRC International Affairs Department, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE).

HKEX: Mandatory Intra-day Variation Adjustment Call In Respect Of The Chung Yeung Festival

All markets operated by the Hong Kong Futures Exchange will be closed for business on 17 October 2018. In order to assure that safeguards are in place against potential market risks that may arise during the aforesaid period when some of the major markets are open, the Clearing House has decided to make a mandatory intra-day variation adjustment call on Clearing Participants in the Hang Seng Index, Mini-Hang Seng Index, HSCEI, Mini-HSCEI, HSI Dividend Point Index, HSCEI Dividend Point Index, USD/CNH Futures and CNH/USD Futures markets on Tuesday, 16 October 2018.

EGX Decreases The Halt Time To A Maximum Of 10 Minutes To Increase Liquidity And Trading

Within the framework of the ongoing cooperation between the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to develop the trading mechanisms and raise the market’s efficiency, EGX will begin on Sunday, to implementation of two decisions taken by EGX Board of Directors after FRA’s approval. The decision are to reduce the trading halt of shares to a maximum of 10 minutes and to allow the margin trading and same day trading on the new shares of an IPO.

Knorr-Bremse Listed On The Frankfurt Stock Exchange As Of Today - Manufacturer Of Brake Systems Listed In Prime Standard - Initial Price: €80.10

Knorr-Bremse AG (ISIN: DE000KBX1006) has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since today. The shares of the Munich-based manufacturer of braking systems were listed in the Prime Standard and were quoted at €80.10 at the start of trading. The issue price was €80. Knorr-Bremse is one of the largest issues in Germany in recent years.

Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”), the subsidiary of Shanghai Futures Exchange has released its circular on inviting applications for Market Makers of crude oil futures on October 11, 2018 as follows:(1) Having net asset of no less than RMB 50 million or its equivalent in foreign currency;(2) Having specialized agencies and personnel responsible for the market-making business, and market-making personnel familiar with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the Exchange’s business rules;(3) Having a sound plan for the market-making business, an internal control system and a risk management system;(4) Having no record of severe violation of laws and regulations in the past three years;(5) Having a stable and reliable technology system for the market-making business;(6) Having the experience recognized by the Exchange in trading, market-making or simulated market-making;(7) Other requirements prescribed by the Exchange. -
