ANNA And GLEIF Announce ‘Go-Live’ Date On ISIN LEI Initiative - Link Between ISO Standards To Start On 4th April 2019, To Improve Transparency And Aid Risk And Exposure Management

The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announce 4th April 2019 as the ‘go-live’ date for the new initiative to start linking International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs) and Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs) for the global financial industry. The initiative has been created to help improve transparency of exposure by linking the legal issuing entity (Issuer) to their issuance of securities, and to also address some of the regulatory requirements under the Prospective Directive, the CSDR and SFTR.

Q1: Today, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) released the list of the second batch of enterprises whose applications for listing on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board have been accepted. Can you brief us on the SSE’s arrangements for the follow-up acceptance?

A: With the application of the issuers gradually normalized, the SSE will adopt the approach of “disclosure on acceptance” to promptly announce the progress after the centralized acceptance for the second batch of enterprises. The notice on acceptance and publicity for the companies will be disclosed on the official website of the SSE after the market closing on the day of acceptance.

The 5th China Commodities Industry Forum, supported by Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) and organized by Xinhu Futures, was held on March 29.
