Trafigura's Proposal For An IMO-Led Global Shipping Industry Decarbonisation Programme

Trafigura, one of the world’s largest ship charterers, proposes that the International Maritime Organisation introduces a carbon levy of between USD250 and USD300 per metric tonne of CO2 equivalent on shipping fuels, in order to make zero- and low-carbon fuels more economically viable and more competitive.

TMX Group Announces Agreement To Acquire AST Trust Company (Canada) - Canada's Premier Exchange Group To Expand Its Presence In The Transfer Agency And Corporate Trust Business

TMX Group Limited (TMX Group) today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire AST Investor Services Inc. (Canada), and its subsidiary AST Trust Company (Canada), a leading provider of transfer agency, corporate trust and related services to Canadian public and private companies from a subsidiary of Armor Holdco, Inc. (Armor), a portfolio company of Pacific Equity Partners (PEP), for $165 million in total consideration, which includes $30 million of cash for regulatory and non-regulatory purposes, subject to customary closing conditions and working capital adjustments.

Repo line arrangements with the central banks of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of San Marino
On 18 August 2020 the ECB announced that the Governing Council had approved the setting-up of two repo line arrangements to provide euro liquidity to, respectively, the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino. This was to address possible euro liquidity needs in the presence of market dysfunctions owing to the coronavirus (COVID-19) shock. The related press releases are available on the ECB’s website.
