Shanghai Futures Exchange: Circular On Adjusting Statistical Standard To Single-Counted Basis

To promote the convergence of the statistical standard for China’s futures market with the international norm, so that the domestic market will be more international and professional, Shanghai Futures Exchange is to change the statistical standard for trading data from double-counted basis (long plus short) to single-counted basis (long or short) since January 1, 2020, as arranged by China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Juniper Research: Payment Platform Revenue To Surge To $158bn By 2024, With China Accounting For Half Of Global Spend- Revenue To Increase By 50% Between 2019 & 2024

New data from Juniper Research has shown that revenue from payment platforms that enables merchants to process payments will grow from $106 billion in 2019 to $158 billion by 2024. It forecasts over half of global revenue will be generated in China by 2024; primarily owing to its increasing affluence and vast usage of social payments such as WeChat Pay.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida entered a default judgment against defendants Aviv Michael Hen of New York, and Omega Knight 2, LLC, as well as a consent order against Erez Hen of Florida, for fraud and illegal, off-exchange precious metals transactions and failing to register with the CFTC.

US Federal Agencies Finalize Changes To Resolution Plan Requirements; Keeps Requirements For Largest Firms And Reduces Requirements For Smaller Firms

The Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation on Monday announced that they had finalized a rule that modifies their resolution plan requirements for large firms. The rule retains resolution plan elements in place for the largest firms, while reducing requirements for smaller firms that pose less risk to the financial system.

CFTC Commissioner Stump Announces New GMAC Subcommittee On Margin Requirements For Non-Cleared Swaps - Global Markets Advisory Committee Seeking Subcommittee Membership Nominations

U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Commissioner Dawn Stump today announced the Commission has voted to establish a Subcommittee on Margin Requirements for Non-Cleared Swaps under the Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC). Commissioner Stump, sponsor of the GMAC, is seeking nominations for membership on the new subcommittee through a request in the Federal Register. The deadline for the submission of nominations is November 12, 2019.
