Bank Of England: US Dollar Liquidity-Providing Operations From 1 July 2020

In view of the improvements in US dollar funding conditions and the low demand at recent 7-day maturity US dollar liquidity-providing operations, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan, the European Central Bank and the Swiss National Bank, in consultation with the Federal Reserve, have jointly decided to reduce the frequency of their 7-day operations from daily to three times per week.

CPIC GDR Listed On LSE Under Shanghai-London Stock Connect

At 9 a.m. London time (4 p.m. Beijing time) on June 17, 2020, the Global Depositary Receipt (GDR) of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (CPIC), a listed company (stock code: 601601) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), was successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Overseas investors have been active in subscribing for the CPIC GDR. The issue price is US$17.60 per GDR unit (equivalent to 90.1% of the average closing price of the underlying stock in the 20 trading days prior to the pricing base date), raising US$1.8106 billion in total.

I attended the past two forums, in Columbus and Omaha, and think of them as among the best events the SEC has held. Each drew knowledgeable and diverse participants, had panels that discussed great ideas, and helped shape my own thinking and appreciation for entrepreneurship.
