Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) secured record high figures in 2020.

Despite global disturbance by the pandemic since early 2020 and most markets' upheavals during the year, TSE's broad index (TEDPIX) was closed around 1,400,000 level and gained more than 270 percent in the last year.

Earlier today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen spoke with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. Secretary Yellen conveyed her intention to work closely with the IMF on the priorities of continuing to respond effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic, re-invigorating economic growth to support a strong global recovery, fighting inequality, and forcefully addressing the threat of climate change. They also discussed the need to find multilateral solutions to many of the issues facing the global economy, including addressing debt vulnerabilities and supporting recovery in low-income countries.
