The Saudi Arabia Capital Market Authority (CMA) Grants A Financial Technology Experimental Permit (FinTech ExPermit) To Sarwa To Experiment Robo-Advisory Service

Based upon the Capital Market Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/30) dated 2/6/1424H, and reference to the Financial Technology Experimental Permit Instructions issued by CMA in 10/01/2018, which aims to provide a regulatory framework that is conducive for the innovation of Financial Technology (FinTech) in the capital market within the Kingdom. In relation to this, the CMA Board of Commissioners issued its resolution to grant Sarwa a Financial Technology Experimental Permit (ExPermit) to experiment Robo-Advisory Service.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Spokesperson Answers Reporters’Questions On Announcement Of Relevant Rules Concerning Delisting

On 31 December, 2020, SZSE officially released the Rules Governing Share Listing (2020 Revision), the Rules Governing the Listing of Shares on the Chinext of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the Trading Rules of SZSE and Implementation Measures of Shenzhen Stock Exchange for the Relisting of Delisted Companies (collectively, the New Delisting Rules), which shall be implemented as of the date of issuance. SZSE spokesperson has answered questions of market concern from reporters.

CFTC Financial Data For Futures Commission Merchants Update

Futures commission merchants (FCMs) and retail foreign exchange dealers (RFEDs) must file monthly financial reports with the CFTC's Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight (DSIO) within 17 business days after the end of the month. Selected financial information from these reports is published below. The most recent month-end information generally is added within 12 business days after FCMs and RFEDs file their reports, but occasionally may be added later. For example: The 17th business day filing “due date" for February 28, 2015 financial reports was March 25, 2015. The 12 business day target for posting these data was April 10, 2015.

FESE Response To The ESMA Consultation On Fees For Data Reporting Service Providers (DRSP)

FESE fully agrees with the objectives of the ESAs review to reduce supervisory fragmentation and costs and ensure the same quality and reliability of data across the EU. Whilst we acknowledge ESMA’s intention to centralise the authorisation and supervision of DRSPs, there are some fundamental issues with the proposed fee framework which require further consideration.

Archax, the forthcoming FCA regulated digital asset exchange, brokerage and custodian, today announced the appointment of Richard Shade as Head of Operations as it prepares for launch. Shade was most recently Head of Custody at crypto exchange BEQUANT and before that was Head of Operations at CME Europe – the CME Group’s UK RIE (Regulated Investment Exchange). He also brings strong institutional operational experience from roles at NYSE Liffe and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, as well as start-up experience from blockchain business UWINCorp.

OCC Clears Record-Setting 7.52 Billion Total Contracts In 2020 - December Volume Highest Month In OCC’s History - Up 80.9 Percent Year-Over-Year

OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, announced today that it set new annual cleared contract volume records for the U.S. exchange-listed options industry. In 2020, OCC cleared 7.52 billion total contracts and 7.47 billion options contracts. These numbers surpass the previous records, set in 2018, of 5.24 billion total contracts and 5.14 billion options contracts. Compared to 2019, OCC had a 51.2 percent increase in total contracts cleared and a 52.4 percent increase in options contracts cleared.

Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer: Farmer Sentiment Rises As Income Prospects Improve, Concerns About Key Policy Issues Remain

There was a modest improvement in producer sentiment according to the December
Purdue University /CME Group Ag Economy Barometer. The barometer increased 7 points from November to a reading of 174. Both of the barometer's sub-indices, the Index of Current Conditions and the Index of Future Expectations, were also higher in December than in November. The Index of Current Conditions climbed 15 points to 202 and the Index of Future Expectations increased by 5 points to a reading of 161. The Ag Economy Barometer is calculated each month from 400 U.S. agricultural producers' responses to a telephone survey. This month's survey was conducted fromDecember 7-11, 2020 .
