To implement the China Securities Regulatory Commission's Opinions on Adding a Science and Technology Innovation Growth Tier on the STAR Market to Enhance Institutional Inclusiveness and Adaptability, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as "SSE") today officially released the Guidelines No. 10 of Shanghai Stock Exchange for the Application of Listing Review Rules — Application of the Fifth Set of Listing Standards on the STAR Market for Artificial Intelligence Large Model Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as these "Guidelines").

Movie Producer Wong Pak Ming Begins Five-Month Jail Term Immediately In Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission’s Insider Dealing Case

Well-known movie producer Mr Wong Pak Ming, convicted in an insider dealing prosecution brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), began serving his five-month custodial sentence with immediate effect. This came after the court today revoked the bail previously granted to Wong at his own request.

On June 17, Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), announced at the Lujiazui Forum support for the launch of active ETFs on exchanges. To ensure the smooth launch of active ETFs and protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) released on the same day the Guidelines of Shanghai Stock Exchange for Actively Managed Exchange-Traded Funds (hereinafter referred to as these "Guidelines").

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority: BNZ Admits Misleading Conduct And Pays $2.6 Million

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) has admitted breaching fair dealing rules by misleading customers on how interest was calculated on some non-profit accounts. They have agreed to pay $2.6 million to the Crown through an enforceable undertaking.

SIFMA Comments On SEC Statement On Covered User Interfaces

SIFMA filed a comment letter today with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in response to the Staff Statement Regarding Broker-Dealer Registration of Certain User Interfaces Utilized to Prepare Transactions in Crypto Asset Securities issued by the Division of Trading and Markets. In the letter, SIFMA notes its appreciation for the SEC’s efforts to provide regulatory clarity for emerging technologies and encourages the SEC to proceed with a notice-and-comment rulemaking process to address important unresolved questions. This process, the letter notes, creates a durable, comprehensive regulatory framework that both benefits market participants and ensures markets are subject to longstanding investor protection and market integrity principles.
