More Small Contracts – Taiwan Futures Exchange To Launch Mini Electronics Futures

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) will launch its second ‘mini’ equity index futures – the Mini Electronics Sector Futures (ZEF) – on 28 June 2021 to cater for rising demand from retail investors for gaining exposure to electronics stocks, including major semiconductors, optoelectronics and electronic parts/components makers such as TSMC, Mediatek and Hon Hai Precision (Foxconn).

Shanghai Stock Exchange Lists 1st Batch Of Five Publicly-Offered Infrastructure REITs

On the morning of June 21, the listing ceremony of the first batch of five Publicly-offered Infrastructure REITs was successfully held in the trading hall of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). Director-General Chen Fei of the Department of Corporate Bond Supervision of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Deputy Director-General Han Zhifeng of the Department of Fixed Asset Investment of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and SSE President Cai Jianchun delivered speeches at the ceremony. The representatives for the original equity holders of the five Publicly-offered Infrastructure REITs opened the market for the first batch of products. Among those witnessing the listing of the first batch of products were officials from relevant departments of the CSRC, the NDRC and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, as well as representatives from relevant market institutions.

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of May 14, 2021 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.
