On July 25, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (SSIC) officially launched CNI ESG Ratings Methodology and released ESG indices and ESG leading indices of SZSE’s core indices (Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, Shenzhen 100) that were compiled based on the methodology. It is a pragmatic measure of SZSE to fully apply the new development philosophy, give full play to the platform functions of the capital market, continue to refine the index system with SZSE’s characteristics, actively meet diversified ESG investment needs, and better serve green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

During the consolidated cumulative first quarter (from April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022), JPX Group recorded operating revenue of ¥33,576 million (increased 3.3% from the same period of the previous fiscal year (i.e., year on year)), and operating expenses were ¥16,397 million (increased 13.1% year on year). As a result, JPX Group recorded operating income of ¥17,777 million (decreased 3.7% year on year) and income before income tax of ¥17,790 million (decreased 3.7% year on year).

Today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen spoke with United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahawi. The Secretary noted the importance of the longstanding U.S.-UK relationship. They discussed their support for the people of Ukraine in the face of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustifiable war, the need to continue to accelerate budgetary support for Ukraine, and opportunities to build on the historic sanctions imposed on Russia. Secretary Yellen highlighted ongoing efforts to hold Russia accountable, including through a proposed price cap on Russian oil to reduce the impact of Putin’s war on global energy prices while limiting revenue for Russia’s war machine. They also discussed efforts to better prepare for future pandemics, including joint work to launch the pandemic preparedness and prevention fund housed at the World Bank.
