It is certainly a foreign, yet welcome change, to be speaking to you from behind a lectern, instead of in front of a camera. After many months of lockdowns, it’s fantastic to finally engage in person.

ASX Group Monthly Activity Report - November 2021

Trading – Cash Markets (including equities, interest rate and warrant trades)

• In November 2021, the average daily number of trades was up 6% on the pcp. The average daily value traded onmarket of $6.4 billion was down 2% on the pcp. 
• Volatility (as measured by the average daily movement in the All Ordinaries Index) was 0.5% in November, compared to 0.7% in the pcp. 
• Future volatility (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 VIX) in November was an average of 12.8 compared to 18.0 in the pcp.

Deutsche Börse: Deutsche Wohnen SE Joins MDAX - No Changes In DAX

Qontigo’s global index provider STOXX Ltd. has announced changes to the DAX index family, which will become effective on 20 December 2021. Deutsche Wohnen SE will be included in the MDAX. According to the Guide to the DAX Equity Indices (section 4.1.1.2 Equity Index Rankings), the company will be added to the index on the basis of a sufficiently high free float market capitalization. Based on the fast exit rule, zooplus AG will be deleted from the MDAX, due to a strong decrease in free float market capitalization.
